The Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and guiding the delivery of secure, scalable, and reusable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, translating business requirements into high-level and detailed technical designs that align with enterprise architecture and security standards.

This is a 12 month contract role.

Requirements:
What you'll do:

• Design high-level and detailed cloud architectures for Azure-based solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and reusability.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical designs, including architecture diagrams and documentation.
• Develop and implement Azure DevOps pipelines and support Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Design and support Azure networking solutions, including hybrid connectivity and secure web ingress patterns.
• Ensure solutions comply with Australian Government security frameworks, including ISM, Essential Eight, and OWASP principles.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, cyber security teams, developers, and operations to achieve design approval and alignment.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance across cloud engineering and solution delivery teams.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of Azure cloud services, including emerging technologies such as AI and data services.
• Contribute to agile delivery practices while working with minimal supervision.
• Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation and solution artefacts.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience designing Azure cloud solutions, including HLD and DLD documentation and reusable architecture patterns.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure services, DevOps pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Azure networking, including hybrid cloud architecture and secure ingress/egress design.
• Strong understanding and application of security frameworks, including ISM, Essential Eight, and OWASP.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders across architecture, security, and engineering teams.
• Broad knowledge of Azure platform services, including AI, data, integration, API management, and DevOps toolchains (desirable).
• Ability to work independently within agile environments and manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and designs.
