Cloud Security Analyst

The role is responsible for carrying out day-to-day operational aspects of cloud security which includes performing risk assessments on cloud change requests which require CyberSecurity review and approval, monitoring cloud security alerts and investigate whether threat notifications and control gaps require remediation action. The role includes regular interactions with other cloud related teams such as Cloud SRE, Cloud Engineering and Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC).

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform risk assessments on cloud change requests which require CyberSecurity review and approval.

• Monitor cloud security alerts and investigate whether threat notifications and control gaps require remediation action.

• Analyse the efficiency of cloud security alerts and propose refinements to reduce the volume of false positives.

• Support the GSOC team where needed with any required cloud security investigations.

• Support the Cloud Engineering and Cloud SRE teams with any required security related questions or issues.

• Support LSEG application teams with any required security related questions or issues.

• Conduct periodic cloud security control exceptions recertification campaigns.

• Support the production of periodic cloud security control housekeeping reports and assist application teams who are responsible for remediation.

• Create cloud security operations runbooks to document the day-to-day processes that are performed.
