Job Description

The Cloud Ops Tech Lead oversees cloud tasks aligned with Group goals, aiming for operational excellence, strong stakeholder engagement, and effective technology implementation to improve business performance. Responsibilities include meeting SLAs and SLOs, ensuring production releases meet platform engineering standards, and driving environment automation, management, and continuous improvement through hands-on technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of cloud engineers to deliver cloud infrastructure projects.
• Develop and implement cloud strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of cloud-based systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Service Delivery cloud platform teams and MRAS project and customer teams, facilitating clear communication of priorities, dependencies, and timelines.
• Translate technical concepts into business terminology to support informed decision-making.
• Contributing to incident management and participating in an on-call rota
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure cost-efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members.
• Manage cloud service provider relationships and contracts.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and proactively address service gaps.
• Build, release and configuration management of production systems

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within cloud engineering or a similar field.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure,
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Strong knowledge and practical understanding of Terraform, including writing, managing, and troubleshooting infrastructure-as-code
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, best practices, and operational controls.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and the delivery of CI/CD pipelines, including build, test and deployment automation
