About the role:

The Cloud FinOps Specialist will support our Cloud Marketplace and Process team by engaging with partners and customers to optimize their cost for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Vendors such as Microsoft, AWS & Google. The role involves designing optimal use cases for Virtual Machine allocation, right-sizing activities, Reserved Instances, Saving Plans and creating customer-facing dashboards using Power BI.

Responsibilities:

Engage with partners and customers to support their cost optimization activities for IaaS.
Work on Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP to manage and optimize virtual machine allocation and right-sizing activities.
Create and maintain customer-facing dashboards using Power BI to provide insights and support decision-making.
Collaborate with internal departments, including sales, finance, legal and IT, to ensure appropriate documentation and coordination of new processes.

Basic Skills and Experience:

Experience in IaaS Cost Optimization.
Working experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS or GCP.
Solid understanding of ecommerce and data handling.
Experience in creating automations with Python and/or Power BI.
Knowledge and experience in virtual machine allocation.
Experience in creating customer-facing dashboards with Power BI.
Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills in English.
FinOps Practitioner and/or Focus Analyst Certification from FinOps Foundation.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Knowledge of Azure, AWS or GCP Cost Optimization features.
Experience in software licensing, support, or account management functions.
IT channel experience with Pan-European distributors or software vendors.
Solid understanding of vendor dynamics within IaaS or SaaS distribution channel.
Apptio platform usage knowledge.
