Job Description
About Us:
STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionizing the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments.
We’re focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems - not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe - today.
Your mission:
As a Cloud Engineer, you will transform service requests into scalable, production-ready environments. By utilising Infrastructure as Code (IaC), you will ensure that every request is executed with precision, security, and documentable consistency.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the main point of contact for infrastructure requests.
• Maintain and expand our Terraform modules to ensure smooth deployments and consistent state management across environments.
• Install, configure, and manage services with appropriate security considerations.
• Monitor cloud provider usage to optimise costs and ensure compliance with internal security blueprints.
• Maintain clear "How-to" guides for the services you build to empower developer self-service.
Qualifications:
• 2-4 years in a Cloud Engineer role.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP (preferred), though strong AWS or Azure backgrounds are welcome if you are willing to pivot. Hybrid-cloud or on-prem experience is also appreciated.
• Proficiency in Terraform.
• You enjoy the "service provider" aspect of the role - helping teams move faster by providing reliable, well-built infrastructure.
