Job Description

Reporting to our VP, we are looking for a Cloud Director . You will be positioned within the growing Cloud team, working with Google Cloud Platform to deliver secure, robust, and scalable data engineering solutions that improve digital marketing performance.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Design and implement cloud architectures for data migration, infrastructure setup, and provisioning on GCP.

• Lead the development and optimization of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.

• Manage the ingestion and transformation of data from various sources into usable formats for analytics and modelling.

• Ensure data pipelines and storage systems are high-performing, scalable, and cost-efficient, including query optimization in BigQuery.

• Establish and enforce robust data governance practices to maintain accuracy, consistency, and security across platforms.

• Automate workflows for monitoring data quality, pipeline execution, reporting, and scaling infrastructure.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accessibility and usability for specific analytical and operational needs.

• Provide mentorship to junior engineers, sharing expertise and promoting a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

• Research and implement new technologies to improve data architecture on GCP.

Qualifications

• Have one or more Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technical certifications.

• Hands-on experience with GCP services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Run.

• Proficient in designing and deploying cloud infrastructure tailored to marketing use cases.

• Familiarity with APIs and datasets from ad and martech platforms such as Meta, Google Marketing Platform, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

• Advanced skills in SQL and Python for data processing, automation, and orchestrating pipelines.

• Demonstrated expertise in building and managing large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines, covering both real-time streaming and batch processing.

• Knowledge of data warehousing principles, cloud-based architectures, and optimizing performance in BigQuery or equivalent platforms.

• Experience enhancing data infrastructure for both cost efficiency and high performance on GCP.

• A forward-looking mindset focused on creating adaptable and robust data solutions.

• Understanding of server-side tagging (e.g., sGTM) is a plus but not mandatory.
