CloudArchitect – AI & GenAI Platform

About Project:

We are the responsible team within Deutsche Telekom technology to enable and drive Data Science & AI use cases. Our team is responsible for the GenAI platform and the implementation of high-priority AI projects. To maximize business value, these AI use cases must be integrated into operational systems. Therefor we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to work with our AI Teams and establish best software engineering practices and help design scalable, robust architectures. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge GenAI technologies (e.g., multimodal AI, agentic AI) in a high-impact, scaled environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to help develop scalable, maintainable software solutions for AI-driven applications.
• Establish best practices in software engineering, including architecture, modularization, and API management.
• Improve development workflows with TDD, DDD, GitOps, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Work with containerization & orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm).
• Enforce security by integrating with our Identity and Access Management.

Your Skills & Experience

Software Engineering Best Practices

• Architectural patterns (e.g. SOLID, GRASP)
• Modularization & packaging
• API development & integration Development Workflows

Project structure & clean code principles
• TDD (Test-Driven Development) & DDD (Domain-Driven Development)
• GitOps (branching, merging, linting, CI/CD pipelines)

Cloud & DevOps
• Docker & orchestration (Compose, Kubernetes)
• Containerization and Orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes
• Configuration scripting (Terraform, Helm, Bicep)
• Cloud experience in at least one hyperscaler environment, GCP and Azure preferred
• Authentication & IAM (OAuth2, security best practices)
• Foundational knowledge of networking

Tools & Languages
• GitLab
• Python
• experience in other languages is a plus (Nice to Have)
