Cloud Architect (Azure)

We are looking for a Cloud Architect to design and drive the implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient architectures in Microsoft Azure.
In this role, you will partner with engineering and business teams to deliver modern cloud solutions that support the bank’s digital transformation, ensuring regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and adoption of best practices in cloud engineering.
This position plays a key role in defining cloud architecture standards, enabling modernization initiatives, and guiding strategic technology decisions across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Design enterprise cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure (networking, security, governance, and compliance).

• Define architecture patterns, standards, and best practices for cloud solutions.

• Lead cloud modernization initiatives, including containers, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven architectures.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering teams.

• Evaluate technical feasibility, scalability, and effort for strategic technology initiatives.

• Ensure security, compliance, and risk management aligned with financial regulations.

• Promote FinOps practices to optimize cloud costs and performance.

• Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to align architecture with enterprise strategy.

• Maintain reference architectures, documentation, and cloud governance frameworks.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure.

• Strong experience with services such as: AKS, App Services, Virtual Machines, Azure Functions
Virtual Network, Load Balancer, Application Gateway Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Event Hubs, Service Bus

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and messaging platforms (Kafka or similar).

• Experience designing cloud-native or modernized application architectures.

• Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and Zero Trust models.

• Experience with hybrid or multicloud environments and cloud migrations.

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments.

• Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization.

• Exposure to data and analytics architectures, streaming, or real-time processing.

• Experience integrating Azure with Active Directory / Entra ID environments.

Minimum Degree Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree, in lieu of a degree, demonstrating in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the role, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in technology for each missing year of college is required
