Organizations need to reduce training and labor costs but at same requiring the best "talent " for the job.
8-10+ years of R&D procurement/strategic sourcing/category management experience.
6+ years of procurement support for Pharma/R&D operations, coupled
with working knowledge of clinical development and clinical operations.
Experience Preferred: Working in a GxP environment.
experience with clinical outsourcing, clinical trials required for this role.
understanding life cycle of clinical trials
Understand the Marketplace and Category of Clinical Outsourcing, development and pre-clinical activities within R&D.
Act as a SME for Strategic Sourcing.
Lead and set Strategic Direction for cross-functional sourcing programs within assigned categories.
Coordinate and conduct ongoing review meetings with key external partners and internal stakeholders.
Support the R&D study team's supplier planning activities and act as lead in key vendor engagements.
Draft
RFIs/RFPs, conduct supplier evaluations, and drive the
sourcing/contracting process. This includes on-going maintenance of the
contracts (i.e. MSAs, change orders).
Consult stakeholders on
potential cost savings opportunities, collaboratively develop cost
savings initiatives and provide on-going tracking/reporting.
Lead other projects and complete additional duties as required/assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree desirable. Advanced negotiations skills courses, a plus
