POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Social Worker at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays an important role in supporting the social services department and collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide compassionate, patient-centered behavioral health care. This position focuses on addressing the emotional, social, and environmental needs of patients while helping ensure positive treatment outcomes and continuity of care.

In this role, the Clinical Social Worker works closely with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, patients, and families to assess individual needs, provide crisis intervention, and assist in developing personalized treatment and discharge plans. They advocate for patients throughout the treatment process while helping maintain clear communication and coordination across all levels of care.

The Clinical Social Worker also participates in treatment team meetings and case conferences, assists with discharge coordination, connects patients and families with appropriate community resources, and supports quality improvement initiatives within the facility. Ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with facility policies, healthcare regulations, and ethical standards is an essential part of this role.

This position requires strong clinical judgment, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with a compassionate and professional approach to patient care. The ideal candidate is dedicated to supporting patients, families, and staff while contributing to the mission and values of Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR EXPIERENCE:

Education: Master’s in Social Work form an accredited school of social work
License: Licensed through the State by the Regulatory Body that is vested to bestow licensure to Social
Workers
Experience: One year experience performing duties as a Social Worker in a Behavioral Health setting
