Reedsburg Area Medical Center is looking for a per diem clinical Patient Sitter to join our team!

Position Summary:
The Clinical Patient Sitter delegates direct patient care to individual patients and their significant others, when appropriate. The Clinical sitter provides observation of patients as risk for safety due to: inability to follow safe instructions, interference with medical care, high fall risk score, at risk for elopement, and/or a moderate or high suicide risk.
Job relationships:
Reports to the Director of Emergency Room; collaborates with nursing staff and other RAMC personnel.
Education and Training Required:
Graduate from an accredited school for Certified Nursing Assistant
Currently listed on CNA registry in the state of WI
BLS Certification Required
Meets Health Requirements
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work in an acute care patient environment with appropriate technological support.
Is able to work independently.
Ability to speak effectively before patients, families, and co-workers.
Complies with HIPAA privacy laws in all forms of communication
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing, oral, and diagram form.

Frequently stand, walk, and sit.
Occasionally carries up to 20 pounds
Occasionally handle objects, smell, and feel control knobs, switches, and levers.
Occasionally bend to the floor, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead to retrieve equipment or supplies.
