• Base Pay: $58.15 – $73.56/hr (experience-based; ~10 yrs ≈ $66.88/hr).
• Differentials: +$3.00/hr evenings • +$6.00/hr nights.
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 total — paid $2,000 at hire, then at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months.
• Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case.
About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist – Inpatient Acute Care to join our hospital pharmacy team. This full-time role follows a mixed day/evening schedule (6:00a–4:30p & 9:30a–8:00p) with rotation.
In this position, you will balance operations and direct clinical services while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based pharmacotherapy. The role supports diverse patient populations including ED, ICU, NICU/PICU, oncology, cardiac, and surgical services. You will also supervise technical staff and play a key role in advancing pharmacy programs.
What You’ll Do
• Order Verification & Dispensing: Interpret, verify, compound, and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
• Therapy Management: Review regimens for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and dosing appropriateness.
• Clinical Programs: Provide pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation monitoring, TPN/nutrition support, IV-to-PO conversions, renal/hepatic dose adjustments, pain stewardship, and more.
• Formulary Stewardship: Support formulary adherence, therapeutic interchanges, and rational selection.
• Safety & Quality: Document interventions, complete error/ADR reporting, and support audits, policies, and quality improvement.
• Education & Collaboration: Provide medication education to providers, nurses, and patients; precept/mentor students; contribute to rounds and handoffs.
• Operations Leadership: Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure compliant, efficient workflows in the central pharmacy.
Required
• BS Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited program.
• Active Florida Pharmacist license (good standing).
• Acute inpatient hospital experience within the last 12 months:
• PGY-1 (hospital) OR
• ≥1 year recent hospital pharmacist experience.
Considered
• New graduates with recent inpatient hospital internship/rotation experience.
• Prior HCA system experience and proven independent practice in high-acuity settings.
