Position Summary
The Clinical Educator is a field-based role that helps patients, caregivers, and families confidently start and stay on therapy. Clinical Educators serve as trusted partners to families navigating complex CNS disorders, helping them understand treatment, feel supported through onboarding, and remain engaged long-term. This role combines clinical expertise with empathy, education, advocacy, and accountability for successful onboarding, adherence, and ongoing patient support. Ideal candidates will have experience in neurology, CNS, or rare disease settings as a nurse, social worker, genetic counselor, or similar background.
Primary Responsibilities
• Support therapy starts by providing disease state and product education to patients, caregivers, and families, guiding them through onboarding, logistics, expectations, and ongoing adherence support through virtual and/or in-person visits.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, specialty pharmacies, and internal Praxis teams to ensure aligned communication, coordinated care, and continuity throughout the treatment journey.
• Translate clinical and scientific information into accessible, actionable insights for caregivers and patients using Praxis-approved materials and resources.
• Establish and maintain strong cross-functional working relationships to proactively address barriers to therapy initiation, onboarding, adherence, and ongoing patient engagement.
• Identify recurring challenges or gaps in the patient experience and proactively recommend or identify compliant solutions.
• Support activities are through a combination of in-person visits and/or remote follow-up, coordinating additional education or support as needed.
• Determine and adapt the best approach for complex or novel patient situations, exercising sound judgment while serving as a resource to colleagues and cross-functional partners on complex patient support matters.
• Support care coordination across providers and departments, helping ensure all stakeholders are informed about therapy status and relevant updates while maintaining strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policy.
• Document patient interactions accurately in the Patient Services CRM, identify recurring patient challenges, and contribute insights that improve the overall patient experience and program effectiveness.
• Coverage of a specific geography, with primary responsibility for patients and caregivers, with some engagement with HCP offices.
Qualifications and Key Success Factors
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, genetic counseling, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience supporting patients and families in neurology, rare disease, or CNS disorders.
• Deep empathy and listening skills, paired with the ability to communicate clearly and directly.
• Comfort working autonomously and navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment.
• Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, supporting new patient starts preferred.
• Advanced, in-depth knowledge of medical terminology, patient education, and healthcare processes within neurology, rare disease, or CNS disorders.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, build trust with families navigating complex medical journeys, and effectively manage sensitive patient situations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with a high level of discretion, professionalism, and compliance mindset.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple families at varying stages.
• Passion for improving the patient experience and delivering meaningful impact.
• The physical and mental requirements of our roles include but are not limited to regular use of a computer, devices or other office equipment, clear communication, and occasional movement. Expectation
This is a field-based position requiring a mix of remote work and in-person support. Flexibility and willingness to travel within the assigned region are required. Travel may range from 50–70% depending on territory geography and customer need. The Clinical Educator is expected to operate with urgency, autonomy, and disciplined planning while maintaining strong cross-functional communication.

To round out our world-class total rewards package, we provide annualized base salary compensation in the range listed below. This range reflects the base salary the Company reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of posting. Placement within the range will be based on job-related factors, including experience, qualifications, scope of responsibilities, and demonstrated track record of delivering results in similar roles.

$120,000—$145,000 USD
