Position Summary:
The Clinical Director of Laboratory Services is responsible for coordinating the technical and staffing functions of the Laboratory Services Department. Will assure and maintain billing and CPT codes are up to date, will update policies and procedures to comply with state and federal law. Will assist with negotiations for reagents and instrument contracts, will review purchase practices. Will plan laboratory strategy, and interfaces with clients and hospital departments. The position performs the responsibilities of the Technical Consultant, General Supervisor, and testing personnel when qualified.
Qualifications:
Requires minimum Bachelor's degree in Health Science Program or Business Administration. Prefer Master's Degree in related field. Prefer six years of laboratory experience with three years supervisory or management experience in Hospital Laboratory Environment. Requires medical training with knowledge in Laboratory Hospital Patient Care Services. Requires Current State of California Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
