Clinical Care Assistant

Position Summary:
The Clinical Care Assistant provides compassionate, individualized care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. You will help residents maintain independence, safety, and quality of life while upholding professional standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, nutrition, medications, etc.)
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive condition to the licensed nurse.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Provide compassionate assistance with medication reminders and ensure timely administration as directed.
- Help with routine therapeutic activities and encourage participation in social, recreational, and spiritual activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment; assist with housekeeping and laundry as needed.
- Adhere to infection control, safety policies, and standard precautions; ensure proper use of PPE.
- Document care accurately in residents’ charts and communicate care plans to the team.
- Observe and report safety hazards, incident/accident concerns, and any changes in residents’ condition.
- Demonstrate respect for residents’ preferences, privacy, and dignity; promote a culture of empathy and respect.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (nursing, therapy, dietary, activities) to optimize resident outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing training, education, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Must be 18+

- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred but not required

- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatrics highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, compassion, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods; assist in transferring residents safely.

Work Schedule:
- Full-time and part-time positions available.
- Various shifts (AMs, PMs, or NOCs) to meet resident needs.
- Ability to work every other weekend
