POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Clinical Care Ancillary Product Group Manager to own execution, sustainment, and product health for Ancillary capabilities within the DHMSM Clinical Care product line supporting MHS GENESIS. This role operates in a post-deployment enterprise environment focused on system performance, workflow optimization, and continuous capability improvement. The Product Group Manager is responsible for ensuring products remain stable, aligned to DHA priorities, and consistently delivered by driving execution and accountability across government, vendor, and platform teams.
This role owns product-level outcomes for the Ancillary portfolio and operates with a high degree of independence in driving delivery, resolving issues, and maintaining execution across teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Execution, Sustainment, and Product Health
Own execution and overall health of Ancillary products within the Clinical Care product line
Monitor and manage product health across execution, stability, performance, incidents, defects, configuration, and end-user impact
Coordinate sustainment activities, system enhancements, and approved requirements driven by DHA operational needs
Ensure operational readiness, adoption, and performance of product enhancements across stakeholders and users
Drive accountability for delivery, performance, and operational outcomes across product teams
Support prioritization and sequencing of product work based on operational needs, dependencies, and DHA priorities
Team Leadership and Delivery Oversight
Lead Product Managers and supporting teams within the Ancillary product group
Coordinate execution across vendor teams (LPDH), platform teams, and DHA Health Informatics stakeholders
Enforce consistent execution tracking across teams, including status, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
Hold Product Managers, vendors, and supporting teams accountable for execution, deliverables, and follow-through across product activities
Lead through influence in a matrixed environment without direct authority over all contributing teams
Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination
Serve as a primary liaison between Clinical Care Product Line leadership, DHMSM Program leadership, DHA stakeholders, and supporting teams
Coordinate across clinical, business, and technical stakeholders to align priorities, resolve issues, and maintain execution progress
Escalate misalignment, delays, or execution risks across stakeholders as needed to maintain progress
Reporting, Governance, and Execution Rhythm
Own preparation of status reporting, executive briefings, and leadership readouts
Participate in recurring governance forums, including product reviews, PMO meetings, and leadership syncs
Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to support leadership decision-making
Support a metrics-driven approach to product health and execution transparency
Process Development and Standardization
Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and ownership structures to improve execution consistency
Drive standardization of execution practices across teams to reduce variability and improve consistency
Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies slowing execution or create confusion across teams
Risk Management and Issue Resolution
Identify risks across product execution and sustainment activities
Develop mitigation strategies and coordinate resolution across teams
Escalate issues requiring leadership awareness or decision-making
Ensure consistent execution quality across product teams and stakeholders
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 10+ years supporting product execution, program delivery, or system sustainment in complex enterprise or federal environments
Healthcare IT: Experience supporting clinical systems, EHR platforms, or healthcare operations environments strongly preferred
Federal / Defense: Experience working within DoD, DHA, or federal healthcare programs strongly preferred
Product Execution: Experience managing product health, execution tracking, incident management, and delivery oversight in a multi-team environment
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline
Tools: Experience using execution tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, dashboards, or equivalent systems) to manage product health and delivery
Scale: Experience supporting large-scale enterprise systems with multiple stakeholders, concurrent workstreams, and complex dependencies
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to drive execution and accountability across teams without direct authority
