seeks a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist for our Lewes, DE location.
Job Duties: Perform diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology procedures, including catheter ablations, pacemaker, and defibrillator implantations. Evaluate patients with abnormal heart rhythms, analyze test results, and diagnose arrhythmias using advanced electrophysiological techniques. Review electrocardiograms (ECGs), Holter monitors, and other diagnostic tests to identify arrhythmic conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans. Create personalized treatment plans for patients, which may include medication management, device therapy (e.g., pacemakers, ICDs), or catheter ablation procedures. Provide continuous care, monitor patients’ progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed after procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes. Educate patients on their condition, treatment options, and lifestyle changes necessary to manage arrhythmias and improve overall health. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient histories, diagnostic findings, treatment plans, and procedural outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
Job Requirements: Position requires an M.D., or foreign equivalent, in medicine and at least two months of employment experience in the job offered or closely related. Position also requires DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) Registration and Electrophysiology Fellowship. The position requires two years of experience with the following:
Performing implantations of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD), and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Devices (CRT-D).
Performing LINQ implantations.
Performing atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter ablations.
Performing supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) ablations.
Performing lead extractions.
Salary offered: $450,000 to $500,000
