Job Description:
As a Clinical Application Specialist, you will act as a technical consultant and trusted partner to internal and external customers—providing installation, training, troubleshooting, and implementation guidance for the Genomadix Cube Platform and associated assays. You will be an excellent communicator who sets clear expectations, builds strong rapport, and elevates the customer experience. The role requires an understanding of how CLIA laboratories work, must have exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Technical Support, Sales, and Marketing / Product Management. This field-based position involves extensive travel—approximately 70–90%—primarily across the United States & Canada with occasional international travel depending on customer needs.
What you'll be doing:
Organize, schedule, and execute system installations, product training and on-site verification services for designated clinical laboratories.
Teach customers best practices following established SOPs.
Provide high-quality post-sales support.
Troubleshooting & Field Issue Resolution
Collaborate closely with internal technical support teams.
Analyze field data to identify areas for product or workflow improvement.
Apply critical thinking across instrumentation, software, and molecular applications.
Support the Sales team in pre- and post-implementation activities.
Build strong relationships as a liaison between clinical laboratory staff and internal departments.
Provide technical support at professional conferences.
Remain compliant with the company’s documentation & Quality Management System.
Protect and honour Genomadix client and patient confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines.
Understand and adhere to Genomadix policy on regulatory compliance ensuring that marketing practices adhere to all federal, state and local regulations.
Operate with minimal supervision.
Successfully balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Support customers within assigned territory and beyond.
Represent the company with professionalism and enthusiasm.

What you bring to the table:
4-year college degree in Life Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
Valid Driver’s License.
2-3 years of relevant experience working in molecular diagnostics/clinical laboratory setting; or master’s degree with 1 year of relevant lab experience
Familiarity with current laboratory practices and guidelines
Basic knowledge of molecular biology and chemistry principles
Ability to stay current in technical knowledge to troubleshoot technical questions from customers and provide information back to the customer in a helpful, courteous, positive and professional manner.
Computer experience, including PC networking, Windows, MS Office, Internet and others.
Strong Interpersonal skills.

Expresses respect, patience, and understanding in interactions with others
Promptly and courteously acknowledges others both verbally and non-verbally (with eye contact, expressions, tone of voice, etc.)

Able to stand for long periods of time >5 hours.
Able to lift and carry 15-20 lbs.
