We are seeking a Clinic Manager on a fixed term basis for the ACAP Clinic: Sydney.
This opportunity is suited to a passionate Social Worker,  Counsellor or Psychologist who is an experienced Clinical Supervisor and is driven to make a significant impact on the future generation of counselling, social work, psychology and criminology professionals.
Based in Sydney CBD, the ACAP Clinic provides free, non-time-limited counselling, casework, advocacy, group programs and psychometric assessment services to children, young people and adults across Australia, regardless of visa status. Our Clinics also provide high-quality placement experiences for students across counselling, psychology, social work, criminology and related disciplines.
As Clinic Manager: Sydney, you will provide operational leadership and strategic coordination across clinical services, work integrated learning for student clinicians, stakeholder engagement and service development. You will work closely with academic staff, clinical supervisors, students, community partners and the work integrated learning team, to ensure the Clinic remains a safe, ethical and inclusive learning environment and trusted community service.
This is a dynamic role suited to someone who thrives balancing leadership, supervision, partnership development and operational management in a student-centred clinical setting.
This position is based at the Sydney CBD campus - with the option to work from home one day per week 
Responsibilities include:
• Facilitate clinical supervision for student counsellors and social workers who are working on placement in the ACAP Clinics, providing them with valuable real-life experiences that integrate academic knowledge and counselling skills.
• Act as a mentor and support system for student clinicians working in the ACAP Clinics to provide individual and group work counselling services.
• Encourage student practitioners to engage in self-reflection and critical thinking, enhancing their abilities to navigate challenging practice scenarios they may encounter in the ACAP Clinics.
• Ensure that student clinicians maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and legality during their placements, preparing them for the demands of real-life clinical practice.
 
• A Social Work or Counselling qualification and experience that enables membership in either the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW); Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) or the Australian Counselling Association (ACA)
• A minimum of three years post-graduate professional experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills
• A qualification as a Clinical Supervisor would be an advantage
