Climate Asset Trader (f/d/m)

We are looking for a highly motivated Climate Asset Trader (f/d/m) who is excited to facilitate transactions across climate performance assets and support the build up of a new team. In this role, you will combine hands-on deal execution with strategic supply origination and knowledge generation across climate performance assets, primarily Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs), and Sustainable Aviation Fuel Certificates (SAFc).

YOUR MISSION:
• Manage the trading of climate performance assets by managing supply access, facilitating hands-on deal execution, and structuring complex transactions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, registries, and regulatory bodies.
• Maximize revenue from climate performance asset trading by leveraging our existing network, securing new supply access, and supporting revenue opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders within Sales, Supply, and Operations.
• Provide expert insights, and stay ahead of market trends, regulatory & policy developments for EACs, SAFc, and further climate performance assets.
• Contribute to CEEZER’s trading strategy, and continuously work on upgrading our processes and way of working.
• Collect and structure data, collect quotes, and collaborate with data platforms and intelligence providers as a basis for analyses, forecasts and decision-making.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Two to four years of experience in emissions trading, energy attribute certificate, sustainable fuels, or related climate performance assets.
• Proven experience with complex transactions, as well as regulatory and policy details.
• High numerical accuracy and attention to detail in pricing, deal structuring, market data analysis, and managing contracting processes.
• Executional excellence balanced with speed, and comfort taking measured risks within a defined framework.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, strong in building relationships with different stakeholders.
• Ownership, responsibility, and openness to learn and move quickly.
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, international relations, environmental studies or a related field is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required.
• A valid working permit in Germany.
