JB Harris Transport & Logistics is seeking a safety-driven and dependable Class B Heavy Equipment Tandem Axle Rollback Driver to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the secure transport of heavy equipment and construction materials used in roadwork, infrastructure development, and related projects. You will operate a tandem axle rollback truck with a minimum capacity of 56,000+ pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate and maneuver a tandem axle rollback truck.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Maintain accurate and timely activity logs and records.
Report vehicle issues or incidents immediately to dispatch.
Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Keep truck clean, organized, and in compliance with DOT standards.
Exhibit professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and make decisions on the job site.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, fellow drivers, equipment operators, and other team members.
Follow all written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
Hybrid mechanic / driver candidate preferred.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of heavy haul experience in a related field.
Valid Commercial Class A Driver’s License (CDL B) 2 Years.
Current Department of Transportation (D.O.T) Medical Certification.
Strong understanding of FMCSA regulatory compliance and safety standards.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative work ethic.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
