Class A - Truck Driver

Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A Truck Driver to join our team in support of highway and heavy construction projects. This position plays a key role in the transportation of construction equipment, materials, and aggregate products to and from job sites in a safe and timely manner.

Relationships/Management: The position will interact with all crews on-sites as well as within the yard.

Education: High School Diploma or GED. 

Experience: 2 years of proven commercial driving experience with tractor-trailer driving required. Construction experience preferred.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 Class A Truck Driver:

Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs. Including dump trucks, side and/or belly dumps.

Transport heavy equipment, construction materials, and aggregates to job sites as needed. 

Coordinate with field supervisors and dispatch to support project timelines. 

Fully understand how to operate and safely drive commercial vehicles.

Ensure contents are properly secured inside of truck to prevent breakage or damage.

Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.

Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs.

Track and report working hours.

Adhere to company rules and regulations.

Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions.

Comply with ICC and DOT regulations.

Make safety a priority at all times.

Skills and Character Attributes:

Must have a Valid Class A Commercial driver's license.

Clean driving record with no moving violations.

Must pass a DOT drug test and possess a current health card.

Knowledge of DOT regulations and securement standards. 

Experience hauling heavy equipment and operating various trailer types is preferred. 

Alert, focused, and detail oriented.

Proficient using GPS and other routing systems.

Must be a team player.
