Job Summary
Primary Transportation Services Inc is seeking a dependable and experienced Local Class A Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently within the designated local region while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate and maintain a Class A commercial vehicle in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations
Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to local destinations
Load and unload freight, verifying shipment accuracy
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
Maintain professional communication with dispatch and customers
Adhere to safety protocols and road regulations at all times
Complete all necessary documentation, including logs and reports
Routes include Upper Michigan, Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
Qualifications
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in truck driving required
Clean driving record with no major violations
Strong knowledge of local routes and traffic laws
Ability to lift and move heavy freight when required
Excellent time management and communication skills
DOT medical certification
