• Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle to provide pickup and delivery services to our established customer base in Melfort and surrounding areas
• Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
• Perform daily pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance
• Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork, including delivery receipts, logs, and incident reports
• Utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) to track hours of service and ensure compliance with transportation regulations
• Practice proper load securement techniques to ensure cargo safety during transit
• Provide exceptional customer service, including professional communication with clients and problem-solving as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring it is properly stocked with necessary supplies
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on industry best practices
• Collaborate with dispatch and other team members to optimize route efficiency and delivery schedules
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of financial transactions when required
• Represent the company professionally through appearance, behavior, and adherence to company values

 

• Class 1  license required
• Ability to complete proper pre/post & inter trips
• Knowledge of ELD (Electronic Logging Devices)
• Knowledge of hours of service
• Knowledge of load securement TDG & WHMIS
• Must have good customer service skills
• Must be reliable, dependable, and hard-working
• Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check, drivers abstract and, 2  work-related references
