ITQ is assisting a confidential client to identify a Clarity ETL Administrator for a dynamic consulting team.
The applications DBA performs scheduled Clarity ETL batch operations from the Epic Chronicles hierarchical data store to the Epic Clarity relational data store. The individual performs additional ETL procedures to extract data from both Epic and other data sources, to clean the data, to conform the data, and to deliver the data.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or scientific/quantitative field.
• Oracle Database 11g Administrator preferred.
• Strong SQL programming skills, particularly for the Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and IBM DB2 platforms.
• Understanding of source and target data structures, ETL processes, and products.
• Knowledge of 3GL/4GL programming languages and ETL products including SAP Data Services.
• Strong problem-solving and metadata skills.
• Extensive knowledge of relational database Oracle 11g availability, performance, and security principles, concepts, and tools.
• Expert knowledge and skill with SQL; both DDL (data definition) and DML (data manipulation).
• Hands-on with writing complex PL/SQL and Unix shell scripts.
• Demonstrable experience of managing high-performance, high-capacity databases in a critical production environment.
• Proficiency with DB performance monitoring tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Expert knowledge of database scripting and automation technology.
• Familiar with ETL and Data warehouse concepts.
• Understanding of and experience implementing, ETL principles and best practices, including error handling, logging & alerting, scheduling and job control.
• Knowledge of reporting processes (Crystal development, Business Objects InfoView).
• Demonstrated proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and best practices.
