This role plays a vital part in building confident, capable Claims teams who can deliver on TAL’s promise when it matters most. By supporting high‑quality, consistent training experiences, the role helps ensure our people are equipped to support customers through some of life’s most challenging moments. Working with autonomy and care, this role contributes directly to TAL’s purpose of protecting what Australians value most—creating meaningful impact through knowledge, capability and a commitment to doing the right thing, every day.
In this role you will:
• Deliver engaging claims training that builds capability and confidence in line with TAL’s Claims Learning Strategy and Capability Framework.
• Develop and source contemporary, claims‑specific learning content that reflects legislation, systems, process change and real case scenarios.
• Provide trusted technical training support to uplift claims decision‑making and consistency across teams.
• Evaluate and refine learning solutions to ensure they meet QA, accreditation and business capability outcomes.
• Maintain strong technical currency so training materials remain accurate, compliant and aligned to TAL policies and industry standards.
• Collaborate and improve by partnering with governance and technical stakeholders and acting on feedback to continuously enhance training outcomes.
• Experience building capability through learning, coaching or technical assessment within life insurance, claims or a similar regulated environment.
• Strong claims knowledge across Life, Trauma, TPD, Disability and Income Protection, with an understanding of how sound decisions support customers.
• Working knowledge of regulatory and legal obligations that shape life insurance claims and training outcomes.
• Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a practical, accessible way.
• A collaborative and self‑directed approach, comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a broader team.
• An interest in learning design and development, with exposure to eLearning principles or formal training qualifications welcomed but not essential.
