NPE-Tech is an established, accredited Electrical Contracting company based in Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Tauranga and Hamilton.
We are currently looking for a Civil Worker to join our New Plymouth team.

About the Role:

This role will suit experienced Civil Worker who’s ability to deliver the best services to customers, on time and to the company’s high quality standards.
Key Tasks and Duties
Operate safely our Excavator and Tipper trucks for general civil, trenching and excavation works
Install ducting for power mains and services in accordance with relevant standards and design
Install high and low voltage power cables in trenches or ducting
Assist Lines personnel with the installation of electrical equipment in compliance with electrical codes of practice, standards and regulations
Gain understanding of how to read plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
Operate power/hand tools and other specialised equipment.
Participate in site and company meetings as required.
Develop positive working relationships with other employees and clientele
Proactively communicate any issues that may hinder the successful completion of a task
Health and Safety
Take reasonable care that your actions or inactions cause no harm to you or others
Actively participate in health and safety matters and processes.
Follow safe working instructions.
Use protective clothing and equipment as and where required
Report incidents, accidents, near misses and hazards.
What we are looking for
Hold a valid NZ driver's license
Holds the legal right to work in New Zealand or be a New Zealand citizen/Resident
Aptitude for electrical work
Motivated to transition to an apprenticeship.
Class 2 license and drilling experience are preferable
