Ring & DuChateau, a collaborative team of 90+ engineers, designers, technicians and support staff dedicated to engineering design and service excellence is seeking a full-time Civil Utility Design Engineer within our Utility and Energy Practice Center located in Brookfield, WI or Madison, WI. We will consider mentoring new graduates with a recent degree in civil engineering, or experienced engineers with utility design engineering experience.

In this position you will:
Produce civil engineering designs for site development or redevelopment of energy and utilities, higher education, medical, science and technologies, commercial, hospitality and public facilities.
Collaborate with other civil engineers, site design professionals, and permitting specialists.
Prepare civil engineering designs, including project plan and specification production, utility system layout and analysis, site grading, erosion control plans and other site related features.

You will need:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of four (2) years of related experience
Any amount of experience developing designs for stream, hot water and chilled water systems using Civil 3D, AutoCAD & Revit
Any amount of experience preparing construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates
Any amount of experience conducting major equipment and specifications development to procure boilers, chillers and pumps to meet construction project requirements
Any amount of experience preparing controls narratives and building automation system point lists for central utility plant and multi-building heating and cooling systems
Any amount of experience conducting on-site construction review to determine whether contractors are meeting contract document requirements
Up to 20% domestic travel requirement. Must live within normal commuting distance of worksite. Must work in office 3 days per week. Remote work allowed up to 2 days per week.
