GEMTEC is a growing consulting engineering firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and in Ontario. We are looking for a motivated and skilled Civil Drafting Technologist to join our Team. We currently have an opening for a fulltime Civil Drafting Technologist in our Fredericton NB, Moncton NB, or Halifax NS office.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

The Successful candidate will have the following:

Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a degree in Civil Engineering.

Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D for drafting and design.

Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering plans.

Familiarity with survey data and LiDAR processing.

Experience with GIS is an asset.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Main Duties:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

Prepare site plans using survey and LiDAR data.

Develop design drawings for dams and other civil infrastructure.

Perform quantity calculations for construction materials and earthworks.

Collaborate with engineers to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to company drafting standards.

Field duties as required, including surveying and inspection work

Other duties as required.

Position:

Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
