Church Facilities Technician role description
The Church Facilities Technician ensures the Facilities Manager, Pastor of Finance and Operations and the Executive Pastor of Operations they will perform their duties as effectively and efficiently as possible. This is a 20-30 hour a week responsibility.
Maintain all building related Items, projects and responsibilities to completion in a timely thorough manner by:
- Maintenance of the properties (Main Campus, Creekside Campus and Grice House. 247,000 combined SQ FT on 27 acres) and equipment of the church either by self, maintenance team or contractor
- Overseeing large and small construction and remodel projects
- Coordinating all church events from a facilities perspective
- Assist with event setups
- Develop and implement best practices strategies for building use, maintenance and care
- Overseeing Safety and Building Code Regulations
- And other duties as assigned or seen as necessary
- Must have HVAC maintenance experience and/or HVAC training required

Responsibilities
Maintenance of the properties (Main Campus, Creekside Campus and Grice House. 247,000 combined SQ FT on 27 acres) and equipment of the church either by self, maintenance team or contractor
HVAC - Maintenance & Repairs, monitoring through Building Automation Systems
Plumbing - Maintenance & Repairs
Electrical - Maintenance & Repair
Roofing - Maintenance & Repairs
Janitorial - Assist others with and/or independently perform all necessary janitorial needs
Fire Protection - Assist with Maintenance & Repairs
Lawn services - Assist others with and/or independently perform all necessary landscaping needs
Pest Control - Animal & pest control
Building Security - video surveillance, automatic door locking systems, building monitor
Assist Facility Manager with large and small construction and remodel projects
Work with outside vendors and internal team
Ensure specifications of projects are adhered to
Assistance with all church events from a facilities perspective

RELATIONSHIPS
Facilities Manager: The Baptist Church Facilities Technician reports directly to the facilities manager first and foremost. He/she is expected to be coachable, available, and responsive to him/her while striving for a healthy, Christ-like relationship characterized by love, truth, and unity.
Pastor of Finance and Operations: The Baptist Church Facilities Technician also reports to the Pastor of Finance and Operations. He/she is expected to be coachable, available, and responsive to him/her while striving for a healthy, Christ-like relationship characterized by love, truth, and unity.
Executive Pastor of Operations: The Baptist Church Facilities Technician also reports to the Executive Pastor of Operations. He/she receive Building Operations tasks from the Executive Pastor of Operations and is expected to be coachable, available, and responsive to him/her while striving for a healthy, Christ-like relationship characterized by love, truth, and unity.
The Heights Staff: The Baptist Church Facilities Technician collaborates with other members of The Heights and staff, serves as a resource and encourages them, and partners with them effectively to achieve maximum kingdom impact.
