The Round Lake Area Park District is looking for a responsible person to oversee the Children's Neighborhood Museum during open hours year round. Our Children's Neighborhood museum is a tot-sized replica of a town built just for kids. Our Neighborhood is a place where children ages 1-6 practice various roles in a community including the market, gas station, and a doctor's office.
We are open Wednesday afternoons 12:15-3 pm, Monday and Tuesday evenings from 3:45-7pm and Saturdays from 8:15-11:30am.
This position will also serve as a back-up for the Rental Attendant on Saturdays.
Experience or interest in working in education or youth programing and demonstrating the ability to work independently are desired qualities. Must be at least 18 years old, outgoing, energetic, flexible, and have excellent communication skills to relate to museum guests. Self-motivated individual with the ability to problem solve the unexpected.
The museum attendant must greet our guests in a friendly manner. Before, during and after the rental the attendant will restock and sanitize the equipment to keep the Neighborhood clean and organized.
Hours may vary due to scheduling of rentals or other events.
