Northstar, a leader in early childhood and education, is actively searching for a Regional Director. This crucial role calls for a combination of exceptional leadership, astute financial management, and effective communication skills. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing educational environment, adeptly managing financial operations, business administration, marketing strategies, and leadership development. As Regional Director you will influence leaders and systems that will help shape the lives of hundreds of children throughout the country.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management and Development:
Lead the recruitment, training, and evaluation of center directors and staff, promoting a supportive and growth-focused work environment.
Offer ongoing coaching and mentoring to bolster the leadership and operational performance of center directors.
Organize professional development opportunities, workshops, and training for staff.
Financial Stewardship:
Guide Directors in developing comprehensive business plans focused on growth strategies, propelling schools to surpass financial and operational targets.
Analyze financial data, using insights to make informed strategic decisions.
Create a culture of accountability and recognition to consistently achieve and exceed business goals.
Monitor financial indicators, identify trends and formulate strategies to positively impact results.
Ensure adherence to fiscal guidelines, effectively communicating financial goals to various audiences.
Operational Leadership:
Provide strategic leadership and direction to center directors, ensuring consistent policy and best practice implementation.
Manage operational budgets and financial performance to meet revenue and profitability objectives.
Support directors as they schedule staff hours.
Continually enhance center operations for improved efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Maintain compliance with licensing, accreditation, health, safety, and child protection standards.
Execute effective enrollment management strategies to optimize occupancy and resource allocation.
Oversee building maintenance, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents, staff, and the community, ensuring high satisfaction with our services.
Collaborate with marketing teams on strategies to attract and retain families.
Build partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and stakeholders to increase the center's visibility and reputation.
Marketing Dynamics:
Develop and implement innovative strategies to boost brand recognition and implementation.
Work with Directors to ensure marketing efforts are centered on enrollment growth.
Stay informed about industry trends and competitor strategies, adjusting our offerings to provide cutting-edge childcare education.
Represent Northstar’s brand professionally in the community, maintaining and enhancing our reputation for excellence.
Ensure efficient use of systems and resources for enrollment growth and retention.
Building Maintenance Management:
Formulate and enforce comprehensive maintenance plans for all facilities.
Coordinate with center directors and maintenance staff on maintenance and repair schedules.
Conduct facility inspections and manage vendor relationships for maintenance services.
Strategy and Growth:
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop area business plans and strategies.
Perform market research to identify expansion opportunities and monitor area performance metrics.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in multi-market, multi-school management within Early Childhood Education (Regional Manager, Area Manager or VP of Operations).
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s Degree Preferred).
Willingness to work non-standard hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Comprehensive knowledge of national and state educational standards, licensing requirements, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Extensive experience with standard operating procedures, systems etc
