Care-O-World Early Learning Centers is looking for a Part-Time Kitchen Assistant to join our Washington center and help nourish the children we serve with care, creativity, and consistency.
✨ Position Details
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Flexible start time (as early as 7:00 AM)
Hours: 25–30 hours per week
Pay: $10.00 – $15.00 per hour (based on experience)
Openings: 1 position

🍎 What You’ll Do
Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children across classrooms
Follow rotating menus and assist with food and supply planning
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation best practices
Support food safety, allergy awareness, and substitutions in partnership with the Kitchen Lead and Center Director
Follow all sanitation and food-service regulations
Complete 10 hours (1.0 CEUs) of professional development annually
✅ Minimum Requirements
High school diploma required (2-year culinary arts degree preferred)
At least 2 years of food service experience, including cooking from raw ingredients
Ability to pass a background check
Positive references from previous employers
Helpful but not required:
Knowledge of NC-DCDEE regulations
Familiarity with USDA Child & Adult Care Food Program
ServSafe Certification
Child care food service experience
