Position Overview
The CFO is a senior executive leader responsible for financial strategy, revenue cycle management, Medicaid compliance, and credentialing oversight. This role partners closely with executive leadership, compliance, and operations to ensure Envision Health Inc remains fiscally strong, audit-ready, and credentialed to serve.
This is a strategic leadership role — not a billing clerk or data entry position.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy:
Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and financial reporting
Oversee Medicaid, commercial insurance, and grant-related revenue streams
Ensure accurate financial statements, cash flow management, and fiscal controls
Advise CEO on financial strategy, growth modeling, and expansion readiness
Prepare financial documentation for audits, funders, and regulatory agencies
Revenue Cycle & Billing Oversight:
Provide executive oversight of billing, collections, and revenue cycle management
Ensure claims submission accuracy and compliance with Medicaid and payer requirements
Monitor denials, underpayments, and corrective actions
Collaborate with Compliance to mitigate billing and audit risk
Credentialing & Enrollment Oversight:
Oversee provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes
Ensure timely enrollment with Medicaid, MCOs, and commercial payers
Maintain credentialing files and tracking systems in coordination with HR and Compliance
Monitor licensure, certifications, and payer participation requirements
Ensure credentialing processes support timely billing and service delivery
Note: This role provides oversight and accountability, not day-to-day clerical credentialing tasks.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Partner with Compliance to ensure DBHDS and Medicaid financial compliance
Support audit preparation and corrective action planning
Maintain separation of duties and internal financial controls
Ensure credentialing and billing practices align with regulatory standards
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 5 years of senior financial leadership experience
Experience with Medicaid billing and healthcare finance
Demonstrated knowledge of provider credentialing and payer enrollment
Strong understanding of internal controls and audit readiness
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred:
Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or related)
Experience in behavioral health, substance use, or community services
Familiarity with DBHDS-regulated environments
Experience scaling financial systems for growing organizations
