How You’ll Make an Impact

• Oversee the full statutory bookkeeping and accounting of the Netherlands legal entity
• Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
• Ensure robust reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts (Intercompany, subledgers, banks, accruals, prepayments, etc.)
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including complex accounting matters
• Prepare statutory annual financial statements in compliance with Dutch GAAP if necessary
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Coordinate with external tax advisors (provide the data for VAT reporting and corporate income tax reporting)
• Coordinate with payroll providers
• Maintain strong working relationships with Treasury, Operational Finance, Corporate Finance, and other internal stakeholders
• Develop, implement, and enhance internal controls and local accounting policies
• Supervise and develop a small accounting team (2 direct reports)
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in accounting processes and policy development.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
• ACCA qualification or equivalent professional certification preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience managing small teams
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting principles
• Experience in VAT returns preparation and providing data for corporate income tax return
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Financial services industry experience is advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Dutch statutory accounting is desirable
