We are seeking an educational leader to strategically lead and position the academic direction for WICAT, a boutique, high-quality, private higher education provider in the creative industries.
The Fashion Institute (Est. 2010) is an established brand within Whitecliffe Institute of Creative Arts and Technology (WICAT) known for excellence in providing Bachelors of Communications and Media, Bachelor of Business (Fashion and Public Relations), Diploma in Digital and Social Media and more!
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Academic Officer to lead the academic delivery of Whitecliffe Institute of Creative Arts and Technology's research, curriculum development, and educational initiatives. The CAO will provide strong leadership, guide educational practices and inspire a vision for and commitment to academic excellence.
This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our innovative programs with a unique focus on the Fashion Industry.
As the Chief Academic Officer, you will be responsible for:
Strategic leadership and execution of a comprehensive academic outcomes
Driving academic excellence and ensuring that our programs are at the forefront of industry trends
Enabling teaching and learning excellence
Collaborating with industry partners to enhance curriculum and provide students with real-world insights
Provide strategic leadership and direction to those within academic departments, faculty and administrative employees
Ensure compliance and academic standards are aligned with TEQSA requirements ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and accreditations
Foster an environment of innovation, creativity in teaching methodologies and educational technologies to enhance learner experience and engagement
What you will bring
PhD qualified preferably in an aligned area
Knowledge of TEQSA an advantage
Alignment with creative and technology based research and change
Experience in academic leadership or senior roles within higher education
Demonstrated success in curriculum development, program assessment and educational innovation
Strong communication and decision making skills
Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory compliance in education
