Working pattern: Ideally 3 half days per week, although 2 days may be considered for the right candidate
Salary: Competitive, pro-rated from the full-time salary
Class sizes: Very small classes, with the Chemistry group usually expected to be around 3-6 students
For candidates who are able to teach an additional subject, such as Biology, or who could contribute to the wider school in another meaningful way, there may be scope to discuss the possibility of a full-time contract.

With small classes and a collaborative team, teachers are able to know their students well, tailor their teaching and make a real difference to both confidence and academic progress.
About the role
We are seeking an excellent Part-Time A Level Chemistry Teacher. The successful candidate will teach Chemistry (British Curriculum) to students aged 16–19. Teaching hours will be blocked together, ideally across three half days per week, although two days may be considered for the right candidate. We are looking for someone warm, organised, academically ambitious and committed to helping students achieve their personal best.
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Plan and deliver high-quality A Level Chemistry lessons in line with the Pearson Edexcel International A Level specification. Support and guidance will be provided for candidates who are new to this curriculum.
Prepare students effectively for external examinations.
Differentiate teaching, set appropriate homework and provide clear, timely feedback.
Monitor student progress and communicate concerns promptly.
Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding, assessment, behaviour, and health and safety in the science lab.

Requisitos
Requisitos: The successful candidate must have:
A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
A recognised university teaching qualification, such PGCE or an international equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching Chemistry.
A high level of written and spoken English.
The ability to plan and deliver clear, engaging and well-structured lessons.
Strong organisation, communication and professionalism.
A reflective approach to teaching and a willingness to engage in professional development.
The legal right to live and work in Spain.
