• Leading of and participating in projects / development tasks delivering best in class tread material performance, sustainability and cost based on customer requirements
• Development of material and relevant process specifications ensuring optimized and robust product performance
• Transfer and implementation of new technologies and raw materials into commercial vehicle tread compounds by improving technology understanding enabling improved product performance, sustainability and cost
• Support all quality related processes to ensure the highest quality experience for our customers in cooperation with QM and other required functions
• Optimize product performance by participating in the generation of compound pattern interaction know-how
• Ensure global health and safety standards in current and future developments
• Building and extending know-how regarding tread compounding considering recipes and performance-relevant processes and documentation thereof in the compounding design guide
• Consulting of colleagues regarding tread material related topics

• Master or PhD in Chemistry or Natural Sciences
• Ideally, first professional experience in compounding and / or rubber chemistry
• High customer focus and interface management competence
• Fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
• Analytical, goal-oriented and innovative approach
• Intercultural competency along with clear and open communication abilities that support the growth of diversity
