Bakers’ Best Catering is currently looking for reliable part-time/on call Chef Lead to work at private events that range in size and location throughout the Boston area. Our event staff attends to all customer needs during service and provides excellent customer service skills. This position is great for someone looking for a flexible schedule that includes day/evening and weekend availability.
Tasks:
Pack out all food and culinary items from our commissary
Reviewing the event notes, kitchen order and ensuring that all food products and kitchen equipment are provided to prepare meals
Manage and assist with preparation, presentation and execution of meal service for catered events
Supervising culinary staff
Assist with clean up and breakdown of events
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned stations and service areas.
Uphold the highest level of timely customer service.
Qualifications:
Minimum two years experience in the hospitality industry required
Dependable with strong work ethic
Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
Must possess a positive attitude
Passionate about food and hospitality business.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
Carrying or lifting to 30lbs
Bending, stopping, and kneeling required.
Ability to carry out company policies and procedures
Ability to take direction and work calmly under pressure
