We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chargehand - Steel Structure to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the fabrication and assembly of steel structures, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to safety standards.

• Lead and supervise a team of steel structure fabricators and welders
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan and execute projects
• Coordinate daily work activities and assign tasks to team members
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
• Perform quality control inspections on completed work
• Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to maintain project timelines
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor and maintain inventory of materials and equipment
• Train and mentor team members to improve their skills and productivity
• Prepare and submit progress reports to management

• Minimum 5 years of experience in steel structure fabrication, with 2-3 years in a supervisory role
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education is a plus
• Welding certification (e.g., AWS) and OSHA safety certification
• Extensive knowledge of steel structure fabrication techniques and processes
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control and precision
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with construction project management principles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Willingness to work in outdoor conditions and at heights when necessary
• Valid work authorization for Dubai, United Arab Emirates
