Title: Charge RN – Med/Surg – Lee’s Summit, MO

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Shifts: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (rotating weekends)

Compensation: $35.65 – $47.64/hr (based on experience)

Differentials: +$4.00/hr (Nights & Weekends)

Sign-On Bonus: Case by case

Relocation: Case by case

Overview

We are seeking a Charge RN – Med/Surg to join our hospital team near Lee’s Summit, MO. This role oversees nursing operations on the Med-Surg and Ortho/Trauma floors during assigned shifts, supporting patient care delivery, staff development, and hospital quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Act as charge nurse for Med-Surg/Trauma units, supervising shift operations.

• Monitor and support patient care delivery in a 6:1 nurse-to-patient environment.

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to staff.

• Manage staff workflow, admissions, and discharges.

• Collaborate with physicians, management, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Active RN license in Missouri or Compact state.

• ADN/Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred.

• At least 2 years of recent Med-Surg RN experience.

• BLS and ACLS certifications within 30 days.

• Leadership or prior charge experience strongly preferred.
