Charge Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Recovery Unit
Kerrville, TX | Full-Time | Days, Evenings, and Nights
Base Pay: $41.00 – $45.00 per hour
Shift Differentials: +$2.25 Weeknights | +$3.25 Weekend Days | +$4.75 Weekend Nights
Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Charge Nurse (RN) to oversee nursing operations in a residential treatment setting near Kerrville, TX.
You’ll serve as the clinical leader for your shift—coordinating patient care, mentoring team members, and supporting individuals in recovery through safe, compassionate nursing practice.
This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy leadership while maintaining hands-on clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct and evaluate nursing activities to ensure adherence to policies and patient-centered standards.
• Lead shift report, assign staff, and maintain appropriate coverage.
• Assess patient progress, address changes in condition, and coordinate treatment plans.
• Partner with physicians, counselors, and staff to maintain continuity of care.
• Maintain documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Coach new nurses and contribute to an atmosphere of accountability and mutual respect.
• Current Texas RN license (Compact State accepted)
• At least 2 years recent acute care experience
• Leadership experience in behavioral health, detox, or medical-surgical setting
• Current BLS required
Preferred: BSN and CNML or behavioral health certification
Compensation & Benefits
• Annualized equivalent $85,000 – $94,000 (based on $41 – $45/hr) plus shift differentials
