About the Role

Base is looking for a Channel Partnerships leader to own our commercial work with business partners who help fuel our growth. These partnerships are a strategic imperative as Base enters its next stage of growth, efficiently expanding to millions of households across the U.S.

Channel partnerships are already a meaningful contributor to Base’s growth through early success with homebuilders. Channel will be an even bigger, more diversified contributor to growth, and this role will own that mandate end to end.

What You’ll Do

• Identify, commercialize, and launch new growth channels that Base can leverage across its existing and new geographical markets.

• Foster and expand our existing channel partnerships with homebuilders.

• Grow the homebuilder channel by crafting new and innovative offerings, and developing a pipeline of new partners (every new home built in America should have a battery on it).

• Scope includes but is not limited to homebuilders, real estate developers, institutional single-family rental operators, military housing and other military applications, other distributed energy providers, home service providers, consumer retail storefronts, and retail electricity providers and brokerages.

What You'll Bring

• Commercial instincts and experience designing and negotiating partnerships.

• Consumer sales intuition and ability to empathize with Base’s members.

• Experience standing up and operating large initiatives with external partners in a high-growth setting.

• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional internal needs.

• Comfort with data-driven decision making and willingness to “get hands dirty” with modern tools (e.g., SQL).

• Bonus points if you have an existing network of relevant partners in residential sector.

About this Team

The Business Operations group at Base reports to the CEO and leads all finance, talent, and commercial activities for the company. On the commercial side, this team is the external face of Base with new and existing growth-oriented business partners. Given the cross-functional nature of supporting these partnerships, these commercial teams work hand-in-hand with Base’s Growth, Deployments, Operations, and Engineering teams on a constant basis.
