Job Description
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Parallel 26 Management Services | Full-Time | Exempt
About Parallel 26
At Parallel 26 Management Services, we believe that great dental care starts with a strong foundation — and that foundation is built on trust, partnership, and financial discipline. We support a growing network of partner-led dental practices through our Dental Partner Group (DPG) model, where doctors retain their identity and autonomy while gaining the operational and financial infrastructure to thrive.
We're growing — through acquisitions, integrations, and organic expansion — and we're looking for a CFO who wants to be part of something meaningful and lasting.
The Opportunity
This is a seat at the table, not a back-office role. As CFO, you'll report directly to the CEO and serve as a true strategic partner to the executive leadership team. You'll shape how capital is allocated, how the business scales, and how our partner doctors experience financial alignment and transparency.
If you're a finance leader who is energized by complexity, motivated by building something real, and grounded in the belief that financial integrity enables great patient care — we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
Financial Strategy & Capital Allocation Partner with the CEO to lead P26's capital allocation strategy — spanning organic growth, acquisitions, debt optimization, and equity structuring. Evaluate investment opportunities using ROIC, IRR, MoIC, and cash-on-cash return frameworks.
Financial Planning & Performance Management Own enterprise FP&A including annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and consolidated financial models. Build and maintain standardized dashboards and KPIs across practices that give leadership clear, actionable visibility into performance.
Accounting, Controls & Financial Integrity Ensure accurate, timely, GAAP-compliant reporting across all P26 entities (MSO, PLLCs, HoldCo). Design and enforce internal controls, manage the month-end close process, and oversee relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and lenders.
Revenue Cycle & Cash Conversion Provide executive oversight of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to drive high collection rates, clean AR aging, and minimal leakage. Optimize the cash conversion cycle from billing through collections and vendor payments.
M&A & Integration Finance Lead financial diligence on acquisitions and partnerships — quality of earnings, working capital, debt capacity — and own post-acquisition integration to ensure seamless financial onboarding and synergy realization.
Debt, Banking & Capital Markets Manage relationships with banks, private credit partners, and equity investors. Optimize capital structure to balance growth velocity, risk tolerance, and liquidity protection. Oversee covenant compliance and refinancing strategies.
Leadership & Culture Build and develop a high-performing finance team. Mentor future finance leaders and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership — championing a culture of accountability, transparency, and disciplined execution.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in accounting or related field strongly preferred. CPA certification strongly preferred.
10–15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with 5+ years as CFO or VP of Finance in a multi-site organization.
Experience in a Dental Service Organization (DSO), Dental Partner Group (DPG), multi-location healthcare, or PE-backed platform.
Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, fiscal management, and financial controls.
Experience with revenue cycle management oversight and payer mix management strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success leading acquisitions and working with lenders and private equity.
Proven track record building and scaling accounting processes in a growing organization.
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Why Parallel 26?
A leadership role with real strategic influence and a direct line to the CEO
A fast-growing, mission-driven platform with meaningful equity upside
A collaborative, partner-first culture that values transparency and accountability
The opportunity to build and shape the finance function as the organization scales
