Certified Surgical Technologist – CVOR | $27.36–$38.30/hr

📍 Location: Salem, VA

💵 Pay Range: $27.36 – $38.30/hr (based on experience)

🕒 Schedule: Full-Time, Days (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

🗓️ Rotating Weekends

💰 Sign-On Bonus & Relocation: Offered on a case-by-case basis

Position Summary

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist – CVOR to join a high-performing cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) team in Salem, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be experienced in scrubbing for C-sections and cardiovascular cases, demonstrate proficiency with surgical instrumentation, and collaborate closely with RNs and surgical teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure equipment is sterile and functional

• Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and OB/GYN procedures, including C-sections

• Perform infant testing and follow tasks delegated by the RN

• Register and pre-register obstetric patients using electronic systems

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of surgical and infant care environments

• Participate in continuing education to maintain and enhance professional skills

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program (or grandfathered status per Virginia law)

• Licensed Surgical Technologist in the state of Virginia (mandatory)

• BLS certification (within 90 days of hire)

• 1–2 years of hospital or scrub tech experience preferred

• Strong communication and computer proficiency

• Physically able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
