Required Skills
Job Description
This isn't a role where you'll be siloed in a single clinic treating the same patient population on repeat. Our client is one of the largest and most established prosthetics and orthotics networks in the country — 31 locations, 150+ specialists, in-house fabrication labs, and an affiliated family of specialized practices that gives clinicians access to resources most independent practices can only wish for. They're JCAHO accredited, connected to the full spectrum of professional bodies in the field, and genuinely committed to growing the clinicians who join them. If you're a CPO — or nearly there — who wants to practice at a high level, treat patients across diverse settings, and have a real clinical home behind you, this is worth a serious look.
What You'll Own
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, reviewing medical history, functional goals, and diagnostic data to develop individualized prosthetic and orthotic treatment plans
• Measure, cast, design, and fit custom devices — including advanced componentry — with precision and a patient-first approach
• Perform static and dynamic alignment, ensuring optimal biomechanical function, comfort, and safety at every stage of fitting
• Treat patients across a variety of clinical settings: in-office, hospital, nursing home, and community-based care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, physical therapists, and the broader care team to drive coordinated patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on device use, care, and maintenance throughout the continuum of care
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with ABC/BOC standards, HIPAA, and applicable regulatory guidelines
• Leverage in-house fabrication lab resources and work alongside technicians to deliver consistent, high-quality devices
Requirements:
• Active ABC or BOC certification as a Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO) — candidates who are pending boards or currently in residency will also be considered
• Clinical experience post-certification preferred, but not required — our client is an approved residency site with the infrastructure to develop strong clinicians
• Comfort working across multiple care settings and patient populations
• Strong patient communication skills and the clinical judgment to work with complex cases
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa transfers considered for the right candidate
• Candidates open to relocation are welcome — relocation assistance is available for this role
Benefits:
• Base salary: $80,000–$110,000 for certified CPOs; $55,000–$70,000 for residents or candidates pending boards
• Medical benefits
• 401(k) with profit sharing
• Travel and expense reimbursement
• CEU and licensure reimbursement
• Access to in-house fabrication labs and a multi-specialty clinical network across 31 locations
