Required Skills
Job Description
There are clinicians who treat conditions, and there are clinicians who restore lives. Our client is looking for the latter. This is a well-established prosthetic and orthotic practice with decades of community trust, in-house fabrication capabilities, and a clinical team that works with some of the most complex and rewarding cases in the region — from advanced microprocessor knees to myoelectric upper limb solutions. The patients here aren't just cases to close; they're people reclaiming independence. If you're a CPO who wants to work where the technology is cutting-edge, the team is collaborative, and the outcomes actually matter, this is where you want to be.
What You'll Own
• Conducting comprehensive patient evaluations — reviewing medical history, diagnostic data, and functional goals to determine the right prosthetic or orthotic intervention for each individual
• Measuring, casting, and designing custom devices with a high degree of precision, including advanced componentry and emerging technologies
• Performing static and dynamic fitting and alignment to ensure superior comfort, biomechanical function, and patient safety at every stage
• Serving as the patient's primary clinical guide — educating them on device use, care, and maintenance in a way that builds confidence and long-term success
• Collaborating directly with physicians, physical therapists, and the broader care team to deliver a true continuum of care
• Maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with ABC/BOC standards, HIPAA, and all applicable regulatory guidelines
• Treating patients across a range of settings — in-office, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other clinical environments
Requirements:
• Current, active CPO certification through ABC or BOC — this is the foundation everything else is built on
• 2+ years of clinical experience post-certification, with a track record of strong patient outcomes
• Deep working knowledge of biomechanics, with the technical dexterity and fabrication skill to match
• The kind of patient communication skills that put people at ease — many patients arrive at a vulnerable moment, and your ability to connect is as important as your clinical ability
• Comfort working across multiple clinical settings and adapting your approach to each environment
• A collaborative mindset — this is a team-driven practice, and the best outcomes here are never solo efforts
Benefits:
• Travel and expense reimbursement for multi-site coverage
• CEU and licensure reimbursement — the organization invests in keeping its clinicians current
• Access to state-of-the-art technology and in-house fabrication — no outsourcing, no waiting on third parties
• A stable, mission-driven practice with a reputation built over decades of patient care
