We are seeking a Licensed Prosthetist / Orthotist (CPO) to join a collaborative clinical team in Edison, New Jersey. This full-time position focuses on delivering personalized prosthetic and orthotic solutions that help patients regain mobility, independence, and improved quality of life.
In this role, you will guide patients through the entire care process—from initial assessment and treatment planning to device design, fitting, and ongoing follow-up care. Working alongside physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals in Edison, NJ, you will help ensure patients receive comprehensive, evidence-based care that supports long-term functional outcomes.
This opportunity is ideal for clinicians who combine technical prosthetics and orthotics expertise with compassionate patient care and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations to assess mobility limitations and prosthetic or orthotic needs in Edison, NJ
• Develop customized prosthetic and orthotic treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices to improve function, alignment, and comfort
• Work closely with physicians, therapists, and rehabilitation professionals to coordinate integrated patient care in Edison
• Educate patients and caregivers on device use, maintenance, wear schedules, and skin care protocols
• Monitor patient outcomes and provide follow-up care, repairs, and adjustments as recovery progresses
• Maintain accurate and compliant Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation
• Follow clinical best practices, healthcare regulations, and quality standards throughout patient treatment
Requirements:
• Active New Jersey licensure as a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist
• Board Certification through ABC or BOC in Prosthetics and Orthotics
• Clinical experience in prosthetics and orthotics preferred; residency graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and collaboration
• Ability to explain clinical recommendations clearly to patients and caregivers
• Commitment to ethical, patient-centered, evidence-based care
• Ability to manage multiple patient cases in a professional clinical environment
