Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Location: Seattle, WA
Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year
Summary
COTAs are the bridge between a treatment plan and what happens in the room each day. In this position, you’ll lead therapy sessions that build functional ability, help patients practice real-life routines, and keep accurate notes so progress is easy to track and adjust.
Responsibilities
• Deliver OT treatment sessions according to established care plans
• Lead functional activities to improve ADLs, cognition, and upper extremity use
• Provide cues, corrections, and modifications to ensure safe participation
• Document objective measures and patient outcomes after each visit
• Coordinate with supervising OT for updates, changes, and goal progression
• Support patient education on carryover strategies and home routines
Requirements:
• Associate degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Current Washington COTA license (or pending/eligible with proof)
• NBCOT certification
• Basic proficiency with EMR/documentation systems
• Strong patient-facing communication and teamwork skills
