Position Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Monitor Bed Unit (MBU) provides essential, hands-on patient care under the direction of nursing staff. This role is vital in supporting patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Shift: Day Shift (1st shift; days vary)

Department: Monitor Bed Unit (MBU)

Travel: None required

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, mobility, and meals

Obtain and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff

Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs

Support nurses with patient care and documentation

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams

Promote patient comfort, dignity, and safety at all times

Minimum Qualifications

Certification: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in North Carolina

Certification: Basic Life Support (CPR) – required

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent – preferred

Experience: Previous CNA experience preferred

Employment Requirements

Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
